!!!!Welcome Back!!!!

FullSizeRender1 Hey New World,

How goes it?

I know, since March, and I know I should receive quite a few backlash or loss of readers. I would expect that and to the faithful set of readers, I do greatly apologize. My personal life has overcome my professional life. None the less, God, or the Higher Creator, your choice, is good and has chosen to bless me with all opportunities, good or bad.

So, I will give you the current lineup, once I play catch up.

So, I finally shot my tribal shoot. I thought they were absolutely my best work, to date. Playing with shadows was more work than what I expected. However, the work was well worth it! The images were beautiful. I was able to use my Nikon D5500 and it was absolutely THE NEW BABY! I love my Nikon D7000, and it will always be my first. However, this Nikon is VICIOUS to the tenth power. I can’t wait until they come out with the book to redo my settings on the camera. Then you will really see what I can do. Insert evil laugh and palm rolling!

Okay, now moving into the lineup.

June 14th-Red Carpet Screening for Dana’s Lane

“The world of television is filled with programming that, quite frankly, lacks substance. This is seen most frequently by talk shows using tabloid antics to engage their audiences. “Dana’s Lane,” a 30-minute talk show hosted by celebrity commentator, host, producer and entrepreneur, Dana Hicks—aka Dana Dane—is the exception. “Dana’s Lane” is an informative yet fun program that will intrigue viewers.”-Alee of Dynamic

This leads me to my next part. Prior to the Red Carpet event, I will be interviewing Ms. Dana Dane, for the blog. This will be an exciting feat, for me.  To be able to start off interviewing, with a celebrity host, is pretty decent.  Also, she has an exciting line up going.

“• VH1 Love and Hip Hop Reality TV star and Grammy Award-winning producer Chink Santana
• Ex-NBA basketball star and entrepreneur Steve Francis
• Hollywood actor and stuntman Tim R. McAdams who was Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges’ stunt double in the hit film “Furious 7”-Alee of Dynamic PR

July 11th-Fashion on the HudsonFullSizeRender

“25 Designers, 150 Models and loads of entertainment presented by Fashion Avenue News Magazine.  This year we will feature:  Couture, Ready to Wear, Plus Size, Resort Wear & Teen Designers.  Fashion Icon Awards, SuperModel Awards, and much, much more.  This is a Family Friendly show, bring everyone.”(EventBrite, 2014)

There are a few other events, coming up, but I need to double check. Either way, I have so much coming down the line, I really don’t know how I am going to do all of this.

Why I Love the D5300!

Good Morning New World,

How is everything, today?

Courtesy of Amazon.com

Ooooohhhhhhhhhh! I gotta give up the latest on where I will be.

On February 11th, I will be attending the opening of Touche, on H Street. My friend, Alee, sent me the word, so I’m going! February 19th-22nd, I will be in New York. I plan on attending quite a few of the NYFW Events. I know, I will be coming there at the end of Fashion Week, but I wanted to do some other things, as well. Holey Doughnuts, is a doughnut spot I have been dying to hit!

Subject: Why I Love the Nikon D5300

I know what you are saying. In fact, I can hear it now. “Tre’, you have a D7000. Why would you want a D5300?!” I’m glad you asked.

I always wanted a camera with a flip screen. Every Nikon I have ever owned (which was two) have never had a flip screen. In fact, when I began looking into cameras, my original choice was an Olympus. It was mainly for the flip screen feature. At that time, the young lady that worked at Penn Camera, talked me right out of it. So glad she did.

So, I’m in the position, now, where a backup camera is definitely needed. So, now, I’m thinking Nikon D5300. Sure bet! What I didn’t plan for, once I started researching, was the features I missed when I bought my D7000. Check out the comparison, courtesy of Snapsort.com

So What’s Next?

Hey New World,

I apologize for the late post. Personal life is taking me places.

So, I noticed something. I went back to old posts, and I spoke a reality into my life. How exciting it is to see that a post that you had written at the beginning of the year and had no idea would come into reality, is the new norm! So with that being said, I am going to make another reality happen. This year, I want to be published in a big name publication! I don’t know how this is going to happen, but I’m going to put my all into making this goal happen. Mark it!

This year, I have two more classes I need to get out of the way. I’m doing the Photography Business I and II classes. I need this to build into a business for my daughter. One day, she is going to take it over. She is a great photographer, now. I need her to strive to be the exceptional one. Also, I need to create a brand! Not trying to sound bad in any way, but I realized that I am a unique individual. I realized that people recognize me from my hair, and then realize I have a personality. Go figure! I want have people recognize that personality. If people can identify you, then they feel a connection to you, I think. I want that! This creates better business.

This year, I need to be more in NYC. I spent a good bit of time up there, but I still need to network way more than what I have. I am so grateful for the people I have met, in my life. They have been so awesome. Truly, they have, in a sense, been my lifeline and inspiration, and I feel so blessed to know these individuals. You know who you are.

With that being said, I put my affirmations out there.

Tell me yours!

DC, Are You Ready? The Hair Games Review

150165_10205351887587143_1021390835517423317_nGood Morning New World,

So……………I finally have a break, coming!

I am overly excited, to have nothing but rest, for a while. It seems as though it has been a while since I had a one of those. This, I think, would be good for me because I need to do so much, as far as catching up with friends, revamping the site, reorder and adding a new set to my business cards, new shoot ideas, etc..

So, okay…..you’re reading because you want to know about the Hair Games, right?!

This time, for this event, I brought my daughter to the show. She is starting out in photography and fashion, and I felt like this would be a good event for her to attend. Also, I wanted to show her that, with a proper education, along with set determination, you can attain your goals. I mean, granted, I’m not where I want to be, but the journey to the goal, has been great. I know, you are saying, “Wait, didn’t you learn photography, on your own?”. Yes I did, but my education in Multimedia catapulted me into Photography. I’m rambling off the subject. So, the show was great. Once again, Derek J was there with his vicious self. He had on an awesome pair of brown heels, judging the show. Also, this year, the show added Tre Majors, to the judging line up. He has done hair for Patti LaBelle and Aaliyah, to name a few. I must say, he is a very humble man. Also, the co founder of Dudley Q, Joe Dudley, had made an appearance, along with Ean Williams and Harvey “Star” Washington. The show performances were great. The stylist, that competed, were very talented. The styles were so amazing. The only problem was the lack of enthusiasm, from the crowd. I would say, the was a decent amount of enthusiasm, at the beginning of the show, then died towards the end. Great show, lacklustered audience. Here are a few images from the show.

Enjoy and TTYL!

The DC Latin Fashion Awards Show

Hey New World,

latin-fashion-week-galeria-expo-and-showroom-2012_239x200I am trying to get back on my schedule. It’s hard but I am getting there. I don’t want people to think I am just doing a “Soapbox Blog”. It ain’t like that?!

So first thing first, my updates. I have a huge project, that I am keeping under wraps, for the moment. This, for me, as well as quite a few others, will be “huge”. Once I get the “green light” to share, I will. Trust me!

On to the subject, DCLFA show.

_DSC3297 copyWhat else can I say, other than “pure magic”! I loved the designs. Honestly, right off the runway, I would love wearing all of it! Simply gorgeous! It was so much to shoot, that I still have images to clean. Anywho, here are a few shots!

Latin NY Fashion Week Review

Good Morning New World,

I knowlatin-fashion-week-galeria-expo-and-showroom-2012_239x200 I am a few weeks behind in posts, but today will be the day I get to play catch up. So, I need to play a little bit of catch up. I got a chance to do the “Race for the Cure” in NY, and right after that I was able to go right back up, to be a part of Latin NY Fashion Week. Honestly, I loved it. Truthfully, I didn’t realize that it hasn’t been around that long. So, while I am still debating on whether to go to DCFW, I wanted to give you some images of what I saw when I was at the DiMenna Center. I loved the designs of the gowns. I thought this was absolutely gorgeous. Take note to the cream gowns. If I were to ever get married, I would love to have one of these gowns. There is one in particular, off the shoulder mermaid gown, that was simply beautiful. I was like, “Yeah, I’d wear that!”, and I don’t wear dresses like that! Anywho! Here are the images.

Lauren Francis Does It All!

Hello New World,

CEO of She Copywrites
Lauren Francis

So, if you don’t know, by now, about the two loves of my life, then you late?! You know

that my first is photography and the second is networking. Well, it is actually

three. If I have time, then a well done

composition is always nice. Hard work, but very fun. Well, I must pass along this info, on this young lady. She puts me in mind of me.

Okay Tre’, way to sound conceited!

No, really.

Courtesy of She Copywrites

Lauren Francis is a single mother, like myself, and

is literally, on a fast track to “gettin’ her shine on”! This lady is vicious. She is currently residing in L.A., and yeah, one of these days, I have got to visit L.A., and she does everything from web designs to press kits. In fact, her company, She Copywrites, launched in January 2012, and she has made it her mission to help small businesses with marketing and advertising. Businesses such as myself. Although, right now I am trying to be more about the art, as opposed to the business. The majority of her clients have been in fashion, beauty, and entertainment.

She Copywrites specializes in copy, graphic design, PR, web design, web copy, articles, press releases, press kits, brochures, and media communications.

First off, I have seen her work, and this lady is, once again, vicious.

She has a sense of fashionable flair, that is seen in her work. Her designs are very clean, and that is what I love. A black and white design, clean lines, and perfect alignment, for her typography. I will provide a link, to her work, below. In fact, I look forward to working with her on some of my projects. So, fashionistas, bloggers, MUA’s, photographers, and fashion designers. Do yourselves a favor and check her out!
