Hello New World,
So, I was looking on EventBrite, to find a new fashion event, and I found a really good one. The Capital Area Fashion & Beauty Blogger Meetup was Wednesday. It was held at the newly renovated Juicy Couture, in Georgetown. The store looks absolutely chic. It looked so great that I wanted to ask who does the interior design, for this company. It was absolutely hot. Oh, and if you visit, check out the second floor rug. Too vicious! I know. Usually I would post and advertise a week prior to the event, but I was thumbing through my phone, that day, and grabbed my camera, and decided to go! I am so glad that I did.
So, let me give a little info on CapFABB. “The Capital Area Fashion & Beauty Bloggers (CapFABB) organization is a community where DC area bloggers can come together to connect, collaborate and organize events in the DC area. With over 400 individual members, we hope you will gain new friends within the proximity to help you grow and a platform where you can share experiences and events, ask questions and provide answers, and get any support you may need to build a better blog. In addition to the community we have, we post member spotlights and helpful articles on the CapFABB blog, send weekly newsletters, and connect you with a Google Group list that you have access to at any time. CapFABB also hosts monthly meet-ups that bring together local businesses, designers and bloggers!” (CAPFABB.com, 2012)
I will be the first to admit it, but you have to cut me some slack. As far as fashion goes, for me, I keep it cheap and simple. Also, I have never been big on names, just the look of the product. That is just me! Well, this was my first time going into Juicy Couture. I had a few friends that would buy the fake bags, but that was my first time actually seeing a real one. I know. I sound like a Gump, but hey! This event had wine and snacks, and I am not talking about the stuff that you would not touch with a ten foot pole. We are talking about homemade bacon sliders, and grilled cheese with caramelized onions. Also, they are having a sale. I believe the store was having a 30% off sale, on selected items. So needless to say, I will be going back, very soon. I saw a purse that would make an excellent camera bag! The jewelry was vicious! I saw some items I will be asking Santa for, this year. Oh and the staff, was absolutely wonderful. This store exceeded my expectations. It seems that this store prides on making sure the client receives excellent customer service. Now, as far as the clothing is concerned, I loved the looks. So, go there and check them out!
And…………,I bid everyone TTYL!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot!
